Mindful Self-Compassion 2.0

August 2nd, 2022

Are you passionate about living out your intention of being kind to others AND ‘treating yourself as you want to be treated’ (a reverse on the golden rule)? Even if you’ve taken the 8-week Mindful Self-Compassion Course, it’s hard to hold onto the progress you made after the program is over. It’s easy to get discouraged when this happens. Our culture, our histories, childhood experiences, and inherited qualities from parents and past generations all push us back toward our old ways of being. Constant reinforcement and intention are needed to make mindful self-compassion a natural part of life that you use as you do every other tool to enhance your life experience.

I’m excited to offer a new program I’m calling Mindful Self-Compassion 2.0 that will be held monthly on the first Tuesday of each month until further notice. This has been requested by graduates of the 8-week course and this program is designed to meet this need. I, too, need ongoing exposure to the practices; I understand how valuable this continuing intentional focus is.

Below is the information about the program.

There are some aspects of this concept that is significantly different from the course experience. First, I’m suggesting that, while I am the leader, every member of the group is a co-leader and takes on some of the tasks. Here are a few of my ideas (open to change if group members decide this is not how they want to participate):

  1. Hold the meetings in homes on a rotating basis. The first meeting will be held at my home.
  2. The host of the meeting will provide snacks for the meeting.
  3. Members will create the topics to be covered.

Start Date:

First Tuesday of the month beginning August 2nd from 6:30 – 8:30pm

Cost:

$50.00 per meeting with a 3-month commitment paid up front.

Payment Options:

Choose to pay in full or pay in 2 payments

Note: For Paypal and Credit Card payments, there will be an additional $4 charge for fees.

Class size:

Limited to 12-15 people.

Content:

Emphasis will be placed on:

  • Connecting to each other in a deep, safe, compassionate way. We will spend time in the beginning getting to know, understand, and embrace each person looking for what we have in common and choosing not to judge but to embrace each person’s dignity, unique humanness, amazing qualities, and diversity from ourselves.
  • We will practice self-compassion and co-compassion through exercises, meditations, practices, and in how we relate and touch each other at the heart level
  • Self-compassion will not be a static topic but a living quality in our individual lives that we explore and discover together, reflecting and sharing our joys, sorrows, successes and failures through the lens of self-compassion.

Sign-up process:

Please click the Register button below to complete the sign-up form. Once you have filled that out you will receive an email asking you to schedule a 15-minute phone call with me to discuss your expectations and choose a payment method if we decide the group is right for you.

I’m thrilled that, at this time, I am able to offer this program. And I am so hopeful that you will join me!

P.S. Are you interested in the class but the date/time does not work for you? Send me an email and I will do my best to help you!
