Denette Mann is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Registered Play Therapist, and Certified EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) Therapist. Denette holds a degree in counseling from the top ranked play therapy program in the world, the University of North Texas. Denette has been in private practice in Dallas since 2002 providing counseling services to children and families. During that time she has also provided coaching and training for parents and provided emergency counseling to child victims of Hurricane Katrina and Rita through the American Red Cross. She has spoken and trained both nationally and internationally on play therapy and the Child-Parent Relationship Training program.
Denette's passion for working with children and families moved her to change her business career for a counseling career after her daughter was born. She has a special interest in supporting parents in managing the hardest and most important job they have. She provides supportive coaching for parents working through rough patches with their children, and trains parents to use play therapy skills with their children in the Child-Parent Relationship Training program. Her priority is helping parents connect with their children through a strong relationship. Denette is available to speak on a variety of topics related to children.
