Interpersonal NeurobiologyHumans are wired from birth to death to seek out relationships and connect to others as deeply as possible. If we live the perfect life, this comes easily and life is satisfying and rewarding. However, all of us have early painful experiences that can create a sense of fear, aggression, or avoidance in our relationships instead of safe, connected ones. The severity and length of time involved with experiencing less-than-satisfying relationships, especially in our early childhood determine how much difficulty we will have in establishing good relationships.

Interpersonal Neurobiology is a psychotherapy approach that utilizes our latest research to rewire the brain such that we can change our ability to relate at a deep and satisfying level. Brain plasticity allows us to change our brains at any age. Mindfulness practices, relational elements, sand tray work, art, are all utilized in this process.
